Loode lighthouse is located on island Saaremaa, on the southwest coast of the peninsula Sõrve and helps to guide on sea.
In 1953 construction of 15 meter lighthouse was complete, below it was painted in white, from above in red.
The lamp of lighthouse is located on the height 19 m over the sea, visibility 6 miles, light characteristic: Fl R 2 s; 0,3 + 1,7 = 2 s.
In 1979 the light visibility was changed to 4 miles.
Since 1993 the lighthouse has been worked on the energy of radio-isotope generator. The generator was removed a while later, so the lighthouse was without light for a few years.
In 1996 the lighthouse was repaired and since then it works on wind and solar energy.
